"Wukadka" is a popular rail serving capital city of Warsaw agglomeration that has linking the city centre with suburban small towns and villages as long as for 75 years. This is the fastest and most reliable transport mean to inhabitants of seven communes located in the area of railway lines managed by Warsaw Commuter Rail, Ltd. (WKD) that enables to reach places of work and schools. Every day 122 trains set out on their paths, which are used by at average 25,000 passengers daily. The company serves about 9 mln. people yearly. WKD acts on the basis of two concessions issued by Minister of Transport and Maritime Economy:
- for carry out passenger service,
- for managing railway lines.
This is one of the smallest companies in PKP Group with 219 people of staff employed currently. It is expected the company will be the first one privatised in the future.

WKD train path amounts to about 35 km. It passes through areas of communes: Michałowice, Pruszków, Brwinów, Podkowa Leśna, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Milanówek and Warsaw.
