Getting to Warsaw
The Frederic Chopin International Airport is located ten kilometres from the centre of the capital city. It houses most of the branches of international airlines. Concerning transport to the city centre, there are several possibilities. One of them is the 175 route bus. Apart from that, the arrival hall houses stands of three taxi corporations (MPT, SAWA, MERC) which offer service at set prices. Additionally, the eastern quarters of Warsaw – the right shore – can be reached by bus 188.Warsaw has three big railway stations dealing with international and domestic long-distance passenger traffic: Western Warsaw Station, Central Warsaw Station and Eastern Warsaw Station. Tourists are recommended to aboard and get out at the Central Station. Visitors who wish to go to the right shore of Warsaw are advised to end their journey at the Eastern Station. If travellers intend to pursue their trip by bus service, the best option is the Western Station.
The Western Station is Warsaw’s biggest bus station dealing with home and international passenger traffic. The Stadium Coach Station deals with traffic in eastern direction as well as domestic and international passenger traffic. The coaches of Polski Express (domestic lines) depart from a bus stop at Al. Jana Pawła II, situated between Central Station and the building of Holiday Inn. Another bus stop of these lines is at the airport.
